This is a test guitar from my second batch of Geronimos back in 2014.  It was one of two test guitars originally used in the prototyping of the MG and GTO pickups. It has continued to serve as a test bed for a variety of things over the years.  As you can see, it has a bit of arm wear.  It once sported a Sun Records sticker on its top and the sticker pulled up some finish when I removed it, that was the accidental part.  So, love it or hate it, I added some additional faux wear.  It's not a "Knock-Around."  It's a "Drag-Around" and does have checking, bumps and bruises.  But whatever, this guitar rocks.  It has a set of experimental single coil pickups based of the geometry of the MG model but with different wire (42 AWG) and magnets (Alnico 2).  It sports what may or may not be a new pickguard shape for the Geronimo model. Still undecided. It was originally an experiment that used most of the existing screw holes as the original guard and then on the next guitar I was going to get a bit more angular.  But this has grown on me so much it may win out in the end.  The pickups are similar in sound to my MG set, but the mid-range is shifted a bit downward.  Also, the softer pull of the A2 mags allows the strings to ring a bit longer and I'd say it has a slightly more bluesy sound.  The neck is of recent vintage.  Though there was hardly any fret wear at all, I still gave the frets a light dressing and polish, good as new.  In keeping with the "drag-around" finish of this body the lacquer has been removed from the back of the neck with only a very thin layer of shellac applied to seal it and I do love the feel.  The guitar's name "Goldtooth" is derived from its single gold string ferrule.  Also, the weight is terrific at 7lbs, 2 oz.  This guitar hasn't seen much playing in its 10 years.  Never loaned out, just a shop guitar, but priced accordingly.
